so these are two of the guys I have to work with, our cameramen. We shot this after setting up and before our scheduled interview.

PHILIPPINE RULES!

i’m so excited to be coming back to the philippines! i haven’t been back in years - i think the last time was when i was still 16 haha. i’m really looking forward to seeing family, celebrities (lol) and get to eat to some goood food :D i honestly don’t know what’s in store for me over there, but i’m just down to have a good time. i’ll be gone for three weeks….sounds pretty long =\ but at the same time, i think this a great opportunity to be away for awhile - away from the usual chaos and whatnot. for those who have TFC or GMA, watch out for me on any of the shows hahaha i might be in the audience creeping on the stars lol. im still debating whether or not i should use twitter to share my philippine adventures with everyone. but just in case, follow me @jaronolic :D only thing i’m not looking forward to with this trip is the plane ride -___- 14 or so hours! i seriously wish i could just drug myself with nyquil or something to sleep through the whole trip haha. i’m leaving in a few hours! so essiiiited.

‘til next time ;)

Reading shaped Rizal’s POLITICAL consciousness:

“MANY Filipino heroes, like Andres Bonifacio and Apolinario Mabini, assiduously collected and read books and pamphlets. But Jose Rizal stands out as the foremost bibliophile, his interests ranging from the literary to the scientific.”

Philippines on alert over bomb plot

A top Asian terrorist suspect and the notorious Abu Sayyaf extremist group may have deployed militants to bomb targets in the Philippine capital, according to a Philippine intelligence report seen by The Associated Press on Thursday.

Intelligence operatives fanned out in metropolitan Manila to thwart any attack as the military and police said that they are taking the report seriously, although it remains unsubstantiated and comes from only one source.

The heightened alert comes after the U.S. State Department on Tuesday renewed its travel warning for the Philippines, saying terrorist attacks could occur in the restive southern Philippines and even in Manila. The U.S. Embassy did not cite any specific reason for the latest warning.
