Swanepoel was spotted by a model scout in a Durban flea market at age 15. By age 16, Swanepoel was earning 5,000 Euros or R40,000 for a day's work. Swanepoel has appeared on the cover of the Greek edition of Vogue, in advertisements for Nike, and walked the catwalk for Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria's Secret, and Diane von Fürstenberg.

Spotted by a model scout at a Durban flea market aged just 15, she’s since gone on to appear on catwalks around the world, wowing crowds with her svelte figure and top-of-the-range cheekbones. The model scout responsible for her discovery, Kevin Elise, once said: “It was like a beautiful flamingo walking past my shop. The way she walked past just did it for me.” We wholeheartedley concur.
At her first meeting with a South African modeling agency, polaroids were excitingly sent on to their HQ, and soon were at an international agency in London. We’re assuming that process took a little while seeing as they were polaroids, but once the pace of the African mail system was no longer an issue and the pictures were in Blighty it took 25 minutes until a call came back saying they wanted her in the UK immediately. 25 minutes? If the 22-year-old was to send us some images right now we'd be back to her within 25 seconds. Slackers.

VICTORIA'S Secret has launched their new 2011 swimwear collection and three of their supermodels, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel and Adriana Lima, showed off some designs from the new collection.
Already on the way to stores for all Victoria's Secret fans, the new collection promises a wide range of variety for women of all body types to choose from.
The three models who were at the launch event at West Hollywood wore sleek black pieces, with Swanepoel sporting a animal print bottom.
