Salma Hayek Launches Nuance Beauty Line at CVS

Salma Hayek is set to take the beauty world by storm. For her first foray into the industry, she's going big or going home. Her brand Nuance will be a 100-piece, multi-category product line sold exclusively online and at 7,000 CVS stores nationwide.

This is the first full-line beauty launch for any celebrity, but if anyone can do it, it's Salma—she does have PPR backing her. The products feature unique Native American and Mayan ingredients Salma learned about from her grandmother, ranging from the obscure tepezcohuite to some not even know about by modern chemists. Salma is passionate about her product and took three years off from her career to devote herself to it. She says:

"I took three years off my [acting] career to work on this. This is not something that required 14 hours. Nooo, baby. This has been a full-time job.

The line hits stores this August and retails from $7.99 to $19.99.
