Pseudo HDR

I wanna know how many fellow Parawhores of mine are asians. #prayforthephilippines

“bonjour la saison des pluies”  that means Hello Rainy Season in French ;) Summer is over and it’s time for us to have ransack our wardrobe .Rainy season is just one season that is LOVED by all stylistas. Who wouldn’t? After all, who would want to be stuck wearing old drenched-boring sweaters and leg warmers. (irk!).If you’re thinking that rainy season is the time for lazy dressing. Well, Honey that isn’t true. This season is the right season to OVER Dress(I mean it to a highfalluting extent!)

Unfortunately, rainy days in a tropical country like ours has pros and cons.

Thanks to the mud, puddle, wind and rain, clothes get spoiled easily. So we need to activate our pagka OC factor, be extra extra careful. That’s one of the disadvantages. On the other hand, one advantage for this season’s dressing is to have a fierceful revenge from your summer outfits, think about more brights, color blockings and prints on the top of it. Ofcourse! We would want to out-stand the gloomy cold-depressing weather.

Here are some of my tips on how to be Into the Monsoon Trend:

Choose the right Pair of Shoes:

*In the Philippines,Girls are always in the search for that perfect opportunity to wear a good boots. Now, you can wear all of ‘em. May it be highcut or lowcut. Make sure you’ll avoid ones that has a suede texture. Opt for a safer texture like semi-leather  or wellies.

Jimmy Choo for Hunter Rain Boots

*It’s also a great time to revive the clogs which has been a total summer must-have. Clogs area good companion because it can protect our feet from mud and mud splashes.

Chanel for Clogs

*Say adieu to your expensive pair of stilettos and leather heels and even to your suede shoes as they can get spoiled completely. (killer!)

Make it a leg wear Habit:

*Go for weird looking and printed tights.

*Invest in bunch of trousers

Zara for Trousers

* Suit yourself with Jumpsuits, Choose aztecs and animal prints.

H&M for Jumpsuits

Revenge of the Bright Hues

Don’t be a sucker (sorry for the term) by wearing black and gray everyday. Admit it this weather is making us feel gloomy. Hence, we need to celebrate this season by going LOUD. :)

* Color Block is back

*Layer, Layers and lots of Layers

Layering is a must this season. It can give the oomph factor to our basic tees and tops. I call it the more “tela look”. (haha)

Bags

It’s better to bring an over sized bag this rainy season. You may need a big space for your umbrella/blazers/coat and other stuffs. Ignore your velvet bags aand suede bags for the mean time. Choose Bags that will give you a zilch maintenance.

Scarfs

Work with variety of scarfs that will give you an instant polished yet chic look.

Carry Something that will protect you from getting wet

oohhh.. this is very important. I am guilty for this most of the time. (I’m so tamad to bring umbrella). An advice from the most careless and clumsiest person alive!!!

*Grab some protective gears like a foldable umbrella, now a days I’m considering those long legged transparent umbrellas.

*Always bring a fashionable coat or blazer

Lastly.. Here’s some rainy day looks you can choose from all of my favorite designers!!! I know you’ll love ‘em!!!! Jaw dropped!

So there…

Hope I was able to help you with these tips.

 P.S

I am in deep hunt for a perfect pair of Wellingtons, I got my pair from Brussels (thanks mom!)but I would want to have another pair, Where could I buy here in Pinas? Please do care to help me out (insert a paawa face here)

Did I just tagged FALCON hahaha :))

From a girl who plays in the mud and dance in the rain,

a late-must-blog-experience! ;)

Day 84: By My Side

Went to see David Choi here in Manila.

Traveled to the North to meet and hear David sing under the storm. He sang favorites and a new song from his up coming album.

It was just him, his guitar and a handful of people who made it despite of the chaos that is the streets of Manila. During the show, he asked the crowd to come up the stage so it’ll be more intimate.

After the show, we just talked to him about random stuff. He was pretty down to earth and was just a warm human being.

I hope more people will come tomorrow (me and my boy will be selling merch tomorrow, hehe).

So today’s Friday, YES!

anyway, i posted a blog yesterday about how my day went well…yesterday, and if you read it you could pretty much tell i hated the living hell out of it. Well today wasnt that bad. Although waking up was pretty painful. The first thing my mum said to me this morning was regarding yesterdays event, the whole bastard. Anyway thats over now, thank god!

The day today went as planned there wasn’t anything that was really bad, well apart from the few goodbyes to some of my closest friends, but no tears were really shed, which is good :) The only thing that was went wrong today was the weather. Its basically rained cats and dogs for a few days now nonstop.

looks like it isnt gonna stop for quite awhile.

So anyway, some of you mine not have heard that there is a tribute for Ryan Dunn on Saturday the 25 of June 2011. All you basically have to do is watch Jackass or Viva La Bam for a few hours. I hope you guys will join me? it will be fun! :) here is the page anyway http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=132409803505873

So thank you guys for helping me over the last few days, all your small messages have helped a lot x

It’s a friday night and classes was suspended today but the rush of the wind has been bugging me and making me nervous. The Marikina River is on a danger zone and we should include it in our prayers especially the people surrounding the area. God Bless the Philippines. God Bless all of us.

xx

Local News in RP about Same Sex Marriage = Discrimination to Homosexuals?: Kindly read the comments...

I know that almost all of us are so sick and tired of hearing those Typhoon Falcon experience … pero gusto ko talaga ‘to i-share sa inyo kasi first time ko lang talaga to naranasan at talagang sobra-sobra!

(06-23-11) That day was supposed to be a typical activity day at Adamson University, at dahil activity day nga, allowed kameng mag-civilian pero naka-school uniform pa din ako! XD RSO’s have activities daw nung araw na yun and may mga department meetings na rin, so ayun, wala masyadong ginawa, except for the seatwork in Circuits 1 Lecture and discussions in General Psychology and Statics of Rigid Bodies. I only have four classes to attend that day and my professor in Electronic Devices and Circuits Lecture said that we don’t have a class that day so maluwag talaga ang araw na yun. My last class for that day is the Statics which was supposedly ends at 3:30PM but because our professor is not in the mood to teach (for the secong time? :D), she dismissed us early at around 3:00PM. Hindi pa agad ako umuwi nun. I stayed in the campus together with my classmates for 30 minutes, we went to ST Quadrangle to watch the RSO Leaders & Members performances, nag-enjoy naman ako sa mga dance numbers kahit pano. :)

It was 3:30PM already when I left the campus and went to SM Manila to meet my cousin who was waiting for me there. We stroll around the mall for a while and bought some school supplies at National Bookstore. We left the mall and went to Park ‘n Ride at 4:30PM to wait for a bus. The waiting line seems to be a queue in a blockbuster movie so we just keep on waiting there for an hour, good thing that we had our Waffletime snack! Around 5:30PM when two Starliner buses arrived there and suddenly the blockbuster queue went through a somewhat stampede (medyo lang…XD) and we survived it. We got into the bus, sat at the almost-at-the-back seat with my cousin at the window side (my left side), and had a feeling of relief. But … it doesn’t end there and it’s just the start of our epic adventure! LOL!

The bus took the San Marcelino Street which exists to Quirino Avenue. Sobrang BAHA na everywhere! It took me 4HOURS to realize that we are in a VERY VERY HEEEAAAVVVYY TRRAAFFIIIICC at that moment! Our family even worried about us and they called and texted us. Well, i just enjoyed those moment spent waiting in the bus even if it is not worth enjoying. My whole body aches especially my head, my knee (sakto sakin yung agwat ng seats kayo sakto yung tuhod ko!), my back at syempre yung pwet ko! (sakit din pala umupo ng ganun katagal! … and how much more yung mga nakatayo diba?) Para ngang field trip/byaheng bicol mi stopover then dame nmen estudayante dun sa bus coming from AdU, UST, St. Scholastica’s College, etc.

Around 9:30 na siguro kame nakalabas ng Quirino Avenue and went through the Roxas Boulevard.

SOBRANG PAGOD! SOBRANG GUTOM! na kame pagdating sa bahay! That’s why, pagkalinis namen, kumaen na kame agad then after ilang minutes pasok na sa bedrooms, higa, and TULOG agad! (zZZzzz —___—)

WE SURVIVED TYPHOON FALCON! XD Just Unforgettable! :D

The morning after that, I realized na malaki pala ang epekto ni Falcon at mas grabe pa pala sa iba compared sa na-experience namen! Swerte pa pala kame sa lagay na yun! So we must pray for now for the safety of all our Pinoy Kababayan and I’m hoping for a better day later. God Bless us all! :)

Hyun Joong’s ‘Break Down’ album will be released in Philippines too!

Here’s a message for the Philippines fans!

Credit: POLYEAST RECORDS PHILIPPINES

Philippines is currently experiencing this rainy weather. It has already been raining all day and now, there’s traffic everywhere. Especially in Edsa. Floods too. I hope the student’s stranded in Vito Cruz are still okay and doing good. They’re experiencing a 26-inch flood(baha) there. The Ondoy(a strong typhoon that hit Marikina City -all around metro manila too- and destroyed everything that it’s in sight) victims in Marikina, from what my Granddad told me they’ve already evacuated the premises because the high of the water measurement thingamabob is already at it’s critical level. I hope they’re okay…

And me, still waiting for an update on our school if they’re gonna give a class suspension tomorrow. If that happens, Blue is Best is cancelled for the first time… in what history I know.

Later, going to continue studying for History.

This is  Alibata the writing system that was once used in the Philippines.

Ice Scramble

After all the eating we went shopping.

After seven years, not much has changed. The unsavory-looking bits are still there. The following shopping malls, however, were new to me.

They’re given numbers for names for luck I guess. Chinese superstition. I’m no expert, so I’m not even going to try and explain. I’ll leave that to Wikipedia he he he.

The stalls inside sell everything. I wish I would have taken pictures, but I didn’t have the guts to do it. If we had more time we could have stayed there all day. A lot of the store owners are new Chinese immigrants from areas close to where my grandparents are from (I’m guessing based on linguistic similarities). I like how I could understand them when they speak the dialect. The accent here in Taiwan is much much different so it is harder to understand.

I’m sleepy. Adios.

long weekend hell yessss
