Philippine Daily Inquirer - Independence Day Issue 12 June 2011

I woke up to the morning newspaper with parts blacked out using a marker, or so it seems. My initial reaction was to roll my eyes and blame various members of the household for defacing the daily broadsheet before I could even read it.

After making myself a cup of coffee, I sat down and stared at the Inquirer. Perhaps I could make something out of it. Perhaps it was yesterday’s paper. I checked the date… none! I got suspicious. I looked at the next page to see if the marker bled though. Then, I smiled.

What lay on the second page was a message… one of freedom and the price paid to attain it.

I cannot vouch for the Philippine Daily Inquirer. From what I know of them, they have a history of publishing despite the pressure of government superpowers. But on whether or not they have censored information in an effort to protect their interests, I cannot say. Maybe. Following the  news on WikiLeaks has made me suspicious of these news institutions, especially the big ones.

But the message they sent is a very good one: NEVER STOP INQUIRING

It is only by asking questions that we get answers. Enjoy your independence, everyone!

To the people of the Philippines: Happy Independence Day!

It’s time to wear my Philippine Centennial Swatch watch! Maligayang Kaarawan ng Kalayaan, Pilipinas!

So,from our trip to Ormoc we went to my aunt’s place in Cebu.It was fiesta week so my cousins brought my sisters and I to their Disco which is I guess their club but a ghetto one aha.It was fun though.Watching random guys do their stripper dance was hilarious.I should have took a video of it.Oh and my cousin bought us this alcohol beverage which was pretty good since only 5% is alcohol.heehee

I get to see these two lovely ladies (far left and right) Tuesday! Last time I saw them it was about a year ago in Manila, Philippines…

And oh, I’ve missed them terribly! They are my second family. And now they’ve moved back to the States, about an hour and a half away from us. Win!

States malls better watch out. We are notorious for our shopping trips. :)

Honestly, before I travel any other countries I want to explore my own country because I never had a a chance to go anywhere when I was little (My parents don’t really like to travel and we can’t afford it). I want to know more about the hidden beauty of the Philippines.

190 kaming Seniors

Is Game of Thrones being aired on HBO Philippines yet? If it is, what’s the schedule? I really want to watch it but I’m not sure if it’s on Philippine TV yet.
