First Outdoor K-Pop Festival to Be Held in Japan on July 30

The first outdoor K-Pop festival “Love-1 Festival“ will be held in Japan at the special outdoor stage of Boat Park in Chiba on July 30. The grand-scale festival will be co-hosted by Tokyo FM and Inter FM and supported by the Japanese National Tourism Organization and Terebi Asahi.


According to the official webpage (http://www.love-1.asia) that has recently opened, the non-verbal performance team for “Nan Ta” and a total of twelve singing groups including Kim Hyun Joong, Supreme Team, Kara, 4 Minute, Rainbow, FT Island, MBLAQ, Novasonic, Infinite, and D-NA will perform at the festival.

“Love-1 Festival” is an outdoor event with the three themes of “Harmony in Asia,” “Co-existence with the environment,” and “visible donation.” Besides outdoor live performances, various events will be held during the festival including the “food area,” in which people can experience Asian food. In addition, FT Island, who has been holding a tour concert in Japan, said, “We will fly to Chiba. We are very much anticipating the live concert with our fans.” MBLAQ also said ambitiously, “We are preparing for the event very hard to present a splendid performance.”

T-ara releases music video for “Roly Poly”!

T-ara finally released their comeback music video for “Roly Poly“!

“Roly Poly” is a whopping 10 minutes long and was done under a mini-drama format with direction from famous director, Cha Eun Taek. The music video is about the feelings of nostalgia for the good ol’ days.

 
At the center are members Eunjung, Jiyeon, and Hyomin, with special appearances by Jun Young Rok (Boram’s father) and actress Im Ye Jin.

The song itself was co-produced by Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyu Sang. Core Contents Media explained, “‘Roly Poly’ features an addictive but easy to follow melody that will catch the attention of listeners of all ages. The minute people watch the music video, the older generation will feel the scent of their youth while the younger generation experiences something new.”

Kim Hyun Joong’s photos from limited edition “Break Down” album

KeyEast Entertainment teased fans by unveiling three new photos ?of SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong. The released photos will be part of Kim Hyun Joong’s limited edition version of his debut solo album “Break Down.”


The photos gave fans a taste of all the new treats that will be part of the limited edition album. For his comeback, Kim Hyun Joong underwent a 180 degree transformation, shedding his soft flower boy image to a beastly and manly look. While he was limited to one image during his early promotions of “Break Down,” he displayed his ability to pull off a wide variety of looks – ranging from sexy to sophisticated.

The limited edition album is comprised of a CD, a DVD of music videos, and 48 pages of never-before-seen photos and will be available in offline stores on June 30th. On June 23rd, online reservations for the special album sold out within an hour of its release.

B2ST, 4Minute to hold concert in England

B2ST, 4Minute and G.NA will hold a concert in the United Kingdom in November.

Cube Entertainment, the singers’ management agency, said it plans to hold the “United Cube Concert” in London on Nov. 19.


An official of Cube Entertainment said, “We were asked to hold a concert there by a local concert promoter. European concert organizers are much more interested in K-pop after the SM Town Live World Tour in Paris in June, England is the home of pop music and we are glad to hold a K-pop concert there.”

This is the first time for Korean singers to host a paid concert in the U.K.

The entertainment company will hold the “United Cube” concert first in Seoul on Aug. 14 and travel to Tokyo on Aug. 25. The agency said they are also preparing for another concert in Brazil.

Meanwhile, other K-pop fans in the U.K. are scheduled to hold a flash mob gathering “Bring YG to the UK” at Trafalgar Square in London Saturday to request a concert of singers who belong to YG Entertainment, according to the group’s Facebook page.

The K-pop fans will perform with the music of YG Entertainment singers such as Big Bang and 2NE1.

Super Junior to make comeback with 5th album in August!

Super Junior will be making a comeback for their 5th album on August 3rd and individual teaser images of the members’ will be released sequentially from the 20th, starting with Eunhyuk. Super Junior to comeback after a year and two months.


Super Junior stated, “As much as the fans have waited, the members have waited a long time for this 5th album. With our new music and performances, we want to communicate with fans all over the world. Please wait for our comeback.”
