Lady Gaga Does Her First Self-Portrait! |Tops TrendlyTopic Gossip

Lady Gaga did her first self-portrait for the August 2011 issue of The Advocate while on tour in Germany, where she pulls off a fierce and determined look.

In the magazine article, Gaga discussed the topic of skeptics thinking she uses the gay community to sell her records.
“[It’s] probably one of the most ridiculous statements anyone can make about me,” Gaga stated. “I would say the top thing I think about every single day of my life – other than my fans, loving the music, and my family being healthy – is social justice and equality. Rumors, shots at me as a human being, that’s what comes with the territory of being a musician and being someone who is a public figure. I care only about what I can change. What can I push forward? How can I be a part of the fight for modern social issues?”

Lady Gaga continues to be a huge inspiration to the LGBT community, and its acts like these that make her fans so appreciative of her being so loyal and headstrong with her beliefs.

Good for you, Mother Monster!
What do you all think of this self-portrait? Is this something you want to see from Gaga again?

J.Y. Park sued over plagiarism controvers?y involving Dream High OST track ”Someday“

Park Jin Young (J.Y. Park) is being sued of plagiarism for ‘Dream High‘ OST track, ”Someday“.

According to the Seoul Central District Court, Kim Shin Il claimed that “They plagiarized “To My Man” from ASH’s 2nd album.” Since J.Y. Park was the songwriter and lyricist of “Someday”, he is being sued for 110 million won ($103,000 USD) for compensation.

Kim Shin Il’s manager claimed,
“The melody of the chorus of ‘Someday’ is like ‘To My Man’, which was composed in 2003. The harmony and rhythm, the acoustic guitar and drums, even the bass, the instruments are all similar too.

…We demand 110 million won to compensate for the losses due to copyright infringement.

Mr. Park has plagarized on several occasions in the past, and called them ’samplings’ and ‘arrangements’. J.Y. Park’s ‘Kiss Me‘ from his 5th album and g.o.d’s ‘To My Mother‘ and ‘Observe‘ have been given up.“

On July 12th, J.Y. Park’s representative responded saying,

“Regretfully, we will abide by the law. It can’t be said that it’s plagarism since it has a chord progression that is commonly used in popular music. If they sue, we will take action with a legal team.“

C-JeS to take legal action in response to KBS’s cancellation

JYJ’s management company, C-JeS Entertainment, has released a statement on the matter regarding the KBS’ cancellation of JYJ’s broadcast appearance, including a bold declaration to take legal action against the creators of the incident.

The full statement from C-JeS reads as follows:

Hello. This is C-JeS Entertainment.

We would like to inform you on our position regarding the situation between JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu) and KBS’s special broadcast on ‘The New Seven Wonders‘.

In mid-April, we received an offer from Jeju Island representatives by landline to make JYJ the official ambassadors for Jeju Island’s efforts to be recognized as one of the ‘new Seven Wonders of the world’.

The exact date that we received the information via e-mail was April 26th.

If we were to take up on the offer, the ambassadors would be required to take part in an immediate ceremony and begin promotions, but since JYJ were on their world tour at the time, we politely declined their offer.

However, the island’s representatives said that the ceremony would take place in July with a special broadcast, and proposed to start with the promotions only, so JYJ – as a Korean artist and a national brand – accepted the important role of disseminating Jeju Island to the world.

The official press release was released on May 4th, and we began our promotions immediately.

Since JYJ were in the midst of their world tour, they promoted the island during the tour and participated in videos encouraging votes via phone and online.

Jeju Island sent us a letter in May thanking us for promoting their cause. The special broadcast was set for July 20th, and JYJ was scheduled to perform twice and participate in official ceremonies for the ambassadorship.

However, on July 16th, we received a one-sided communique cancelling our appearance. The reason was unclear: “If JYJ appears, the entire broadcast may not happen.”

Although KBS Jeju have said they have apologized to us, we have yet to receive an apology – only a one-sided cancellation notice.

We believe that a broadcast station has the right to decide the performers for a broadcast. However, taking into account that this broadcast was to promote Jeju Island as one of the ‘New Seven Wonders of the world’, and since there was a ceremony planned to induct JYJ as their official ambassadors, we seek an official response from Jeju Island officials as well as KBS on this matter.

In addition, we at C-JeS Entertainment are reporting the fact that the appearance was cancelled 4 days before the event to the Fair Trade Commission, and will take legal steps to solve this situation.

Lastly, JYJ’s current lawsuit is due to an unfair contract between themselves and their previous company, and does not have anything to do with social or moral issues.

The courts have also ruled that JYJ will be allowed to freely promote as artists.

More than anything else, we would like to apologize to the JYJ fans who became upset at this unexpected situation; JYJ will be cheering on Jeju Island’s effort, regardless of the current situation.

Thank you.

JYJ’s Jaejoong responds to the remake of “Wasurenaide”

It has been reported that Chinese singer Ray Cho remade TVXQ‘s “Wasurenaide” which angered fans because it was without Jaejoong‘s consent. The song was written and composed by Jaejoong for their 4th Japanese album, “The Secret Code.”

In response to the fans’ anger, Ray Cho expressed his apologies and asked for understanding from the fans in a post on his Weibo. Many fans wondered if Jaejoong knew that his song was being used without his consent, Jaejoong has been informed as on July 17th Jaejoong responded to the whole incident by posting the following tweet.

“Wasurenaide” is not mine or any one person’s song. It is a song that belongs to the 5 member TVXQ. Therefore I do not want one person or 3 people to sing it.

Eric Moon: ‘I worried whether people compared me with Dok Ko Jin’

Eric Moon of Shinhwa (Moon Jung Hyuk) will make a comeback to TV dramas after a three-year break since his appearance in the KBS drama “Strongest Chil Woo” in 2008. Eric plays a Hallyu star named Kang Woo in the new KBS 2TV Monday and Tuesday drama “Beautiful Spy.”

Th first generation idol star will play a Hallyu star named Kang Woo — who will be a target for a North Korean spy named Han Myung Wol (Han Ye Seul) — in “Beautiful Spy.” During the production presentation held at the 63 Convention Center in Yeouido on July 5, Moon Jeong Hyuk said while smiling, “I worried whether I will be compared with another Hallyu star, Dok Ko Jin (Cha Seung Won), in the drama ‘The Greatest Love,’ and I studied very hard for differentiating my character from Dok Ko Jin. Actually, I was a huge fan of ‘The Greatest Love,’ and I watched every episode until the last one. But I felt worried because my character in this drama could be compared with the one in ‘The Greatest Love.’ I originally wanted to create my own style of speaking for a quarrel with Myung Wol, but I actually gave up and decided to play my character in as simple a way as possible. ‘Beautiful Spy’ is a romantic comedy drama, but actually it is closer to a melodrama. It will not be very funny or very exciting, rather you will find yourself smiling while watching it.”

Moon Jeong Hyuk finished his military obligation last year in October and he had planned to appear in the seafaring drama “Poseidon,” but the drama had faced a production problem and he had ended up giving up his appearance in that drama. After much troubles, he finally decided to appear in the “Beautiful Spy.” Moon Jeong Hyuk said, “I wanted to make a comeback as soon as possible, but the break time was not only bad for me. I felt more pressure in ‘Poseidon’ than now. The filming schedule for ‘Poseidon’ had been delayed and finally canceled, and I came to appear in this drama. I feel really relaxed and very happy now because I could meet these good actors and good staff members. I think that I was very lucky.”

Kang Woo in the “Beautiful Spy” will be in danger of being taken to North Korea by a beautiful North Korean spy named Han Myung Wol. Asked what he would do if he were forced to go to North Korea by falling in love with a North Korean spy, Moon Jeong Hyuk gave a witty answer, saying, “If I really love her, I will take her to South Korea.” He continued, “I had performed in Pyeongyang before, and the feelings evoked there were very strong. It was like going back to the past in a time machine. I felt sad at the same time. People in North Korea felt a longing toward South Korea. If my beloved woman wanted to take me to North Korea, I would take her to South Korea instead (laugh).”

“Beautiful Spy” must compete with other outstanding dramas such as “Goodbye Miss Ripley” on MBC and “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” on SBS. Moon Jeong Hyuk said, “I think that there will be distinguishing aspects about our drama. I worry about the smooth flow of a historical drama, but anyway I believe that our drama will be very successful.”

“Beautiful Spy” will be broadcast every Monday and Tuesday at 9:55 pm from July 11.

KBS explains reasons behind the cancellation of JYJ’s appearance on ‘N7W’

Tisue Basah - KBS representatives explained the official reason behind the sudden cancellation of JYJ’s appearance on KBS’s ‘Jeju 7 New Wonders of World KBS Special Live‘ that left JYJ and its many fans upset and confused.

KBS officials told Sports  Korea, “Until the 3 members of JYJ finish their lawsuit with SM Entertainment, it will be difficult to appear on KBS.”

JYJ had planned to sing two songs on the stage, but on July 17th JYJ’s agency, C-JeS received notification that their appearance was canceled just 4 days before their scheduled performance.

C-JeS also received notification that, “If JYJ makes an appearance, the broadcast itself is impossible“, raising concerns of the possibility of ‘backdoor pressure‘.

However, the representative stated, “The personal activities of the members of JYJ are possible. For example, Park Yoochun’s appearance on KBS’s ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal‘ happened.” But past events still point to the fact that KBS has also obstructed their personal activities.

For example, Park Yoochun was invited as the ‘unknown guest star’ by actor Kim Kap Soo on KBS’s ‘Kim Seung Woo is Doing Just Fine‘ due to their close relationship on ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’. However, one day before the recording, it was reported there was a misfire.

As a result, Yoochun was not allowed to appear on the program.

A representative explained, “That day Park Yoochun was not alone, because it was more for publicity for JYJ.” Another representative told Sports Korea, “Park Yoochun was invited by his co-star in ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’, Kim Kap Soo. There was no reason for JYJ to appear.”

Meanwhile, on July 19th, JYJ fans began a signature campaign asking for both an apology and clear explanation for the cancellation of JYJ’s appearance.
