Just thinking deeply the whereabouts of these people….Baguio 2005

Actress T.V. Carpio appeared in 2008’s Across the Universe and sang one of the most memorable covers in the movie of the Beatles’ “I Wanna Hold Your Hand.” Although the Beatles version was upbeat and poppy, Carpio’s version is a lot more heartfelt and soulful.

Currently, T.V. appears as Arachne on Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark.

Do I be able to meet these people that I were with back then?

Read this article: http://globalnation.inquirer.net/4795/us-ready-to-arm-philippines

I do not have the right to speak about this topic because quite honestly, I do not know anything about it. However when I read this article- it scared the crap out of me. Although I believe this is a terrible idea, I still believe that the Philippines or Vietnam deserves the Spratly Islands. Since China and the United States are -as of right now- the major global power, I fear that this might result in a huge conflict, a war-and possibly- a deliberate nuclear attack. Maybe I’m a tad bit overreacting, however, it’s possible. China had already warned the United States to not get involved with this issue. Yes, having the United States on our side is a good thing for the Philippines- or is it?

There are probably reasons why the United States wants to help us obtain the Spratly Islands.

Maybe the United States wants our resources. Since we will have an “utang na loob” to the United States we will sell them resources for less- if we won the battle over the Spratly’s. The Philippines has a lot of resources that will help the United States economy to increase including fish, rice, oil, coal & cheap labor. The US knows how desperate we are to obtain these islands because of our economy, and maybe they are taking advantage of that.

In 1994, there was a genocide in Rwanda (a small country in Africa), the United States did not intervene with the Rwandan genocide. However, they participated in the Bosnian genocide (a small country in Europe) in 1992-95. Why did the United States not intervene with Rwanda but did in Bosnia? We were talking about this in World Cultures class, and all I could think about is that… Bosnia is rich in minerals & natural resources- they have aluminum, iron, zinc, etc. Rwanda, does not have any of those resources. The United States is currently on a war in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq & Libya- why? Because these are Middle Eastern countries with a lot of supply of oil.

We, the Filipinos, have the right to claim the islands. However, if it will cause the lives of our citizens or cause a possible war, I don’t think it’s worth it. I do not think that sending our biggest and only warship to protect the Spratly is a good idea. I do not think that the US should intervene or even help “arm” our country. It scares me to death that when China got pissed off, they will attack us.

Just a thought.

Girls were the first to arrive AND WAIT for the boys FOR TWO HOURS! =_= Zzzz. Such slowpokesl! >.< SO, GIRLS WON! HAHAHAHA! Strolled around Trinoma while waiting for the guys, then played a bit at Timezone when they arrived.

AND THEN, RED BOX FINALLY! :)) If you and your family and/or friends love to have a mini-concert among yourselves, then this place is def. fit for you gaiz! :D Currently, Red Box has a branch at: Greenbelt, Eastwood, Cebu, and Trinoma. My friends and I went to Red Box STAR in Trinoma. We were given a relatively small, private room. We arrived exactly during “The Joe Hour”, which is from 4p-6p, and costs P149/head.

Hah, I’m such a good rapper bcoz I am Eminem, Snoop Dogg, BoB, etc.! Hahahaha! >:))

Also, food and drinks were good! It’s like everything on the menu are just finger foodies, but then you can also order rice just like what the guys did! :))) The prices for finger foodies are around 200+ and above. Meanwhile, most of their drinks are alcoholic, and special drinks usually cost 100+ and above.

DON AND RIAN sang “Iris” for the finale! They really hate singing and you won’t hear them sing unless it is a requirement in school— which actually happened once during grade school when they had to sing in front of us for our Music class! >:) GOODJOOOOBB! Felt like good old times! :))

LE KILL BILL. O.O
(includes everything!)

Let’s do this again next time! :)

Independence day sunset.

Taken June 12, 2011 (Philippine independence day)

Their single “Go Outside” has been on LSS for the past several weeks in my brain

This video seems timely with the recent TV debates on legalizing divorce in the Philippines.

What I like about our first semester is that we’re not taking any Maths. ;P

Altho, idk, prolly on the next sem. But still, I’d like to enjoy this sem without failing any maths. (e.g. Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, etc.)

So.. kinda looking forward that I pass everything with a smile.

And, yeah, enjoy studying. For the first time, actually, that I have ever said that I would enjoy it. Coz for the last years I spent in highschool, I was always saying that I’d endure it. Haha -.-“

Filipino teen declared world’s shortest man Junrey Balawing,...

i can’t just take how this man underestimated FEU. You, coming from the “Pontifical” University of Sto. Tomas having that kind of attitude, whew. You came from a prestigious university, you must learn how to act as an educated “Thomasian”. But man, the way you act, you prove yourself wrong that UST is better than FEU. Can’t you just stop these school rivalries, instead, live your own life.

GAANO BA KATAAS ANG FEU PARA HILAIN MO PABABA?

whatever they say, i’m a PROUD TAMARAW! :D

Pinoys out there. Tell me there’s a place that plays live grunge core music in Manila so I can escape this petty wannabe rich kid lifestyle I come across everyday at school. To get away from these adolescents still so insecure in who they are, following the crowd afraid to speak up for themselves and hiding their curiosity in life.

Someone told me Psychology majors don’t make it here because there aren’t many job opportunities. I agree only because everyone’s so scared of truly feeling anything. Who needs to see a shrink if you just follow what other’s what you to do all day. Meaning you don’t think for yourself. Meaning you don’t FEEL for yourself. Kids let their parents pick what major they take up, how to live their life and in the end live a meaningless life and are totally fine with it. Most of them feel no depression or excitement unless it’s from a break up text or some new Dramione post.

Don’t get me wrong. A lot of passionate people come out of the Philippines. I get it. I’m just saying that some either don’t feel enough or are extremely well controlled in their emotions. Let’s face it EVERYONE gets depressed sometimes. Some too ashamed of getting help (filipinos and their pride) thus resulting in the lack of needing therapists and a dead end road for a Psych major unless they go to the states. Lord knows we need more there.

I don’t know where I was really going with that except that I want to mosh and don’t know where to go. Help?

Isa ho akong guro. Kasalukuyan akong kumukuha ng BS Mathematics and Science Teaching major in Physics.

Wala ulit halong kaechosan yan.

bahay-kubo.
