Another Philippines Pride (Pilipinas Got Talent 2 Winner...

Beach wallpaper:

Beautiful beaches - wallpapers for your laptop to refocus on the beauty of God’s creation and God’s Love for all mankind.

Enjoy your dreams of a vacation, a honeymoon with your lover or a life on a tropical paradise beach … then work a little harder and realize your dream like I did to enjoy life in paradise here and now on this very planet !

The paradise islands of the Philippines offer some of the world’s most beautiful beach sceneries. Specially the island beaches of Palawan and its many small Calamianes islands near Coron offer splendid white sand beach with deep blue crystal clear ocean water - turning into a beautiful turquoise along the shallow white sand beach areas. Enjoy more pictures from beautiful islands and blue ocean island sceneries from the beautiful Philippines.

FUCK YOU PO. Wala kang karapatang tumira dito. Nararapat kang tumira sa impyerno.

LET’S GO AZKALS! WE BELIEVE! :D

There is a great crisis that surrounds the local architectural practice today. It is the fact that when you step out of your house, you’re in an architectural dimension of nowhere. Lost in space-time. There is a Mediterranean house around the corner. There is a Japanese-inspired apartment at the next block. There is a condo at the highway that tries to look modern on the outside but classical on the inside. Every building is confused of its self.

Pluralism is an overstatement to the current state of practice. Pluralism is suppose to be healthy, suppose to be an influx of exemplar ideas. The numerous designs that are contagiously spreading around the metropolis are nothing more than mix-match repetitions of the past. Or the foreign. Not pluralism to me.

The reason why architecture doesn’t matter to people outside of the profession (and even to several within the profession) lies in the world they are situated in. They don’t see themselves live in it in the future. I don’t see my future family live in this kind of junk.

Comedian Goerge Carlin once said:

It looked pretty good. It was prestine. Paradise! Have you seen it lately? Have you taken a good look at it lately? It’s fuckin’ embarrassing! Only a nation of unenlightened halfwits could have taken this beautiful place and turn it into what it is today: a shopping mall. A big fuckin’ shopping mall!

He talked about America. Although I’d like to think he talked about the Philippines, too. If he saw the sprawling megalomaniac malls today, I bet he’d scream like hell.

Now, either we start critically thinking and designing the future we want our children to live in or we all decay in this pile of garbage. Soon.

The road less traveled

Aba’y ayaw ba magpatalo?

Ma’am: Sino pumapayag sa same sex marriage?

ME: *Taas kamay*

Ma’am: Ikaw Chantal, bakit ka pumapayag?

ME: Ma’am kasi po walang boundaries pagdating sa pag ibig. Pag LOVE po. LOVE talaga.

ME: Hindi rin Ma’am.

Ma’am: Kaya nga kailangan nilang magbago eh.

ME: Ma’am. Hindi na yun mababago. Ano yun? Tatanda nalang silang magisa?

Opinyon namin?

Gusto kasi maging pastora nung teacher namin kaya ganun. Haist.

Kayo? Ok ba sa inyo ang same sex marriage or not?

These beliefs are antique. Hope you like it. HISTORY.HISTORY.HISTORY.

REPUBLIQ 1st Anniversary Ball

The 1Meal Program was created in Iloilo as a way for the private sector to get involved with the improvement of the Public School system in the province.

There are 1100 Elementary Public Schools in Iloilo province, and they are not in the best condition.

How does one achieve academic epic-ness when one must worry about

their next meal,

or where they will get the money for tuition fees, books and other school materials

and even the sanitary conditions of their school…
But the 1Meal Program hopes to change all that!
Join us!
Every time you have 1 Meal at a participating restaurant you have the chance to give a child 1 Opportunity at a better future!
Check us out on Facebook: www.Facebook.com/1Meal

Happy belated independence day :D

Philippine national hero Jose Rizal wrote to the women of Malolos once, expressing his admiration for their courage in standing up to authorities for their right to education. I’ve never read that letter — I suppose the nuns and priests running the Catholic schools I studied at would not have thought it A Good Thing for us to be something other than Maria Clara types — till I saw Red’s article today at the Filipino Freethinkers site which had the full text of Rizal’s letter.

An excerpt:

An excerpt:

No longer does the Filipina stand with her head bowed nor does she spend her time on her knees, because she is quickened by hope in the future; no longer will the mother contribute to keeping her daughter in darkness and bring her up in contempt and moral annihilation. And no longer will the science of all sciences consist in blind submission to any unjust order, or in extreme complacency, nor will a courteous smile be deemed the only weapon against insult or humble tears the ineffable panacea for all tribulations, You know that the will of God is different from that of the priest; that religiousness does not consist of long periods spent on your knees, nor in endless prayers, big rosarios, and grimy scapularies, but in a spotless conduct, firm intention and upright judgment. You also know that prudence does not consist in blindly obeying any whim of the little tin god, but in obeying only that which is reasonable and just, because blind obedience is itself the cause and origin of those whims, and those guilty of it are really to be blamed. The official or friar can no longer assert that they alone are responsible for their unjust orders, because God gave, each individual reason and a will of his or her own to distinguish the just from the unjust; all were born without shackles and free, and nobody has a right to subjugate the will and the spirit of another. And, why should you submit to another your thoughts, seeing that thought is noble and free?

I always knew Maria Clara was a crock.
