Justin Timberlake Opens Up About Britney Spears

Justin Timberlake rarely comments on Britney Spears' drama-mania life, but he did give some straight-up insight about their teenage romance in a recent revealing interview with Vanity Fair.
“We were two birds of the same feather – small-town kids, doing the same thing. But then you become adults, and the way you were as kids doesn’t make any sense," he said. Sounds like a healthy trajectory for teenage lovebirds entering adulthood. He added that the two haven't spoken for 9 or 10 years.

“I won’t speak on her, but at least for me, I was a totally different person," he said. If he's talking about his current tortoise-shell-specks wearing private demeanor vs. his bleached blonde high-pitch voiced teeny idol aura, he's right on key.

"There was nothing normal about our existence. We spent way too much time being the biggest thing for teenyboppers," he added.

If you secretly envision a future JT/Britney Spears happily ever after, move on!

Unforgettable Celebrity Apologies

These "I'm sorry" speeches went down in Hollywood history.

Celebs screw up, then we watch and wait for the requisite heartfelt (or not-so-heartfelt) pleas for forgiveness. Some stars send out statements to the media, others do teary interviews, and some (like Kanye West) just spill their sorries on Twitter. Check out the celeb apologies that have a spot in Hollywood history.

Jude Law: Sorry for Cheating with the Nanny

The Fail:Jude Law admitted that he cheated on fiance Sienna Miller with his children's nanny back in 2005. The nanny, Daisy Wright, sold the story to a British newspaper.

The Apology: Written Statement

"Following the reports in today's papers, I just want to say I am deeply ashamed and upset that I've hurt Sienna and the people most close to us. I want to publicly apologies to Sienna and our respective families for the pain that I have caused. There is no defense for my actions which I sincerely regret and I ask that you respect our privacy at this very difficult time."

 14.Hugh Grant
Hugh Grant: Sorry for Prostitute Encounter

The Fail:
Hugh Grant made headlines back in 1995 for his dalliances with a prostitute in Hollywood. The actor was found out when he was arrested after being caught with Divine Brown in the back of a car. He was given 2 years of probation for the offense and really upset his then-girlfriend Elizebeth Hurley.

The Apology: On Air
Hugh didn't waste any time talking about his transgressions. He opened up about the incident on lots of talk shows, and said on Larry King Live: "I could accept some of the things that people have explained, 'stress,' 'pressure,' 'loneliness' -- that that was the reason. But that would be false. In the end you have to come clean and say 'I did something dishonorable, shabby and goatish."

Sharon Stone: Sorry for Offending Chinese Government
The Fail:
Sharon Stone gave a red carpet interview at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, and alluded that the earthquake in China might have been the result of their treatment of Tibetans. The Chinese government was not amused.

The Apology: Written Statement
“Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people. I am willing to take part in the relief work of China’s earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people.”

 12. Christian Bale

Christian Bale: Sorry for Tirade

The Fail:
Christian Bale is known for having a hot head, and he went off on his co-stars and director on the set of Terminator 4 in July 2008. The incident apparently occurred right around the time he was arrested for assaulting his mother and sister. Charges against him were later dropped.

The Apology: On the Radio
"It's been a miserable week for me. Listen, I know I have a potty mouth; everybody knows this now. The thing that I really want to stress is I have no confusion whatsoever. I was out of order beyond belief. I was way out of order. I acted like a punk. I regret that. There is nobody that has heard that tape that is hit harder by it than me. I make no excuses for it. It is inexcusable."

John Mayer: Sorry for Sexual, Racial Remarks
 The Fail:
John Mayer usually pushes the limits in his interviews, but his 2010 comments in Playboy crossed the line. His main offenses: He called ex Jessica Simpson "sexual napalm" and used the "N" word multiple times.

The Apology: On Twitter and Onstage
The singer reached out to his Twitter followers: "Re: using the 'N' word in an interview, I am sorry," he Tweeted. "I should have never said the word and I will never say it again." And, later that week during a Nashville concert he stopped and said: “In the quest to be clever I completely forgot about the people that I love and the people that love me,” Mayer said. “I went, as I have begun to do, into a wormhole of selfishness and greed and arrogance.”
Ashlee Simpson: Sorry for Lip Syncing, Doing the Jig
The Fail:
Ashlee Simpson got caught lip syncing on a "live" 2004 appearance on Saturday Night Live, and did a funny little jig across the stage as she looked around, bewildered. The show then cut to commercial.

The Apology: On SNL
At the end of the flubbed episode, she came back on and said: "I feel so bad. My band started playing the wrong song. I didn't know what to do, so I thought I'd do a hoedown." She later blamed the lip sync plan on acid reflux.

9.   Chris Brown
Chris Brown: Sorry for Attacking Rihanna The Fail:
Chris attacked his then-girlfriend at Rihanna before the Grammy Awards in 2009, angering his fans, her fans, and generally everyone else who heard the story. He later pleaded guilty to a count of felony assault and the restraining order against him was just lifted this year.

The Apology: 2-Minute Video Clip
Chris released an apology video five months after the domestic violence incident, and explained that he hadn't talked about it yet at the advice of his lawyer. He said in the clip: “I have let a lot of people down and I realize that and no one is more disappointed in me than I am. As many of you know, I grew up in a home where there was domestic violence and I saw firsthand what uncontrolled rage can do.”
8. David Letterman  Sorry for Having an Affair with Staffer
The Fail:
David Letterman announced on-air in October 2009 that he'd been the victim of an extortion attempt -- a blackmailer threatened to expose the talk show host's sexual encounters with female staffers. Sooner than later, it was revealed the blackmailer was the former boyfriend of a CBS staff member named Stephanie Birkitt. Sources revealed she was the one who'd had an affair with Letterman.

The Apology: Speech to Staffers, Wife On His Show
He apologized to his staff and wife Regina on his own show. "She has been horribly hurt by my behavior, and when something happens like that, if you hurt a person and it's your responsibility, you try to fix it. And at that point, there's only two things that can happen: Either you're going to make some progress and get it fixed, or you're going to fall short and perhaps not get it fixed, so let me tell you folks, I got my work cut out for me."
 7. Kanye West
Kanye West: Sorry for Wrecking Taylor Swift's VMA Moment
The Fail:
No one will forget when Kanye West stole the mic (and spotlight) from Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs as she came up to accept her Best Female Video award. Kanye blabbed about how Beyonce deserved the award for her hit "Single Ladies."

The Apology: On His Blog, on Twitter, Through Song, in Interviews
The night of the show he wrote about being "SOOOOO SORRY" and "in the wrong." A year after the incident he was still saying sorry. He fired off a strong of whiney tweets, and even said he wrote her a song. “[It's] so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her,” he said about the tune.
 6.LeAnn Rimes
LeAnn Rimes: Sorry for Stealing Your Husband, But Not Really
The Fail:
LeAnn Rimes had an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian in 2009, and waited until mid-2010 to sort of say sorry to his ex-wife Brandi Glanville and the singer's then-husband Dean Sheremet.

The Apology: Interview with People Magazine
"I did one of the most selfish things that I could possibly do, in hurting someone else. I take responsibility for everything I've done. I hate that people got hurt. But I don't regret the outcome."5
 5.Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods: Sorry for Many, Many Mistresses The Major Fails:
Tiger's troubles started when he banged up his SUV on Thanksgiving Eve 2009, just days after a tabloid accused him of once having a mistress named Rachel Uchitel
. By the time 2010 rolled around, a total of 10 women (mostly porn stars and waitresses) came forward and claimed they'd gotten up close and personal with the pro golfer over the years too. His wife Elin Nordegren moved out and moved on.

The Apology: 14-Minute Televised Press Conference
His extensive speech included lines like: "I have disappointed all of you and made you question who I am and how I could have done the things I did."

 4. Mel Gibson
Mel Gibson: Sorry for Ranting The Major Fails:
Where do we begin? Mel's been ranting and raving for years. He made sexist/racist remarks to cops when he was busted for a DUI in 2006, then was publicly shamed again in 2010 for allegedly saying some awful, awful things to his baby mama Oksana Grigorieva -- though he didn't publicly say sorry that time.

The Apology: Written Statement for DUI
"There is no excuse, nor should there be any tolerance, for anyone who thinks or expresses any kind of anti-Semitic remark. I want to apologize specifically to everyone in the Jewish community for the vitriolic and harmful words that I said to a law enforcement officer the night I was arrested on a DUI charge. I am a public person, and when I say something, either articulated and thought out, or blurted out in a moment of insanity, my words carry weight in the public arena. As a result, I must assume personal responsibility for my words and apologize directly to those who have been hurt and offended by those words."

Jesse James: Sorry for Cheating
The Major Fail:
Just days after shedding tears of joy during his wife Sandra Bullock's Oscar acceptance speech in March 2010, news breaks that he's been cheating on her with more than one tattooed ladies. One of them, the lovely Michelle McGee, is very vocal about this.

The Apology: Written Statement
"It's because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way. This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them."
He added that "the vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded. Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment."
Miley Cyrus: Sorry for Posing Nude
The Fail:
Miley Cyrus got a lot of heat for stripping down in a Vanity Fair photo shoot in 2008. The racy photos didn't actually show any private parts, but they were deemed very inappropriate for a 15-year-old role model.

The Apology: People Interview
"My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy. For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with [photographer] Annie [Leibovitz]. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed."
Arnold Schwarzenegger: Sorry for the Love Child
The Major Fail: Actor-turned-Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger shocked the world in May 2011 when the LA Times revealed the reason he and wife Maria Shriver were divorcing after 25 years. Turns out he had fathered a love child with a household staffer 10 years prior, and told Maria about his transgressions after leaving office. She promptly packed her things.

The Apology: Written Statement
"After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."

Arnold Schwarzenegger admits fathering a child with member of household staff

Former Governor says he is 'truly sorry' for his actions

Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted fathering a child with a long-serving member of his household staff.
And while the 'event' happened more than 10 years ago, the former Governor of California only told his wife Maria Shriver about it earlier this year - leading to the couple's split.
It is believed the member of staff in question had worked for the Schwarzenegger family for more than 20 years, but retired in January.

In a statement released to the LA Times, Schwarzenegger, who has four children with Shriver, said: 'After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago.
'I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family.
'There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologised to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.
'I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not.'

A source told TMZ.com that Shriver is 'completely distraught' over Schwarzenegger's revelation.
The member of staff in question has not been identified, but denied when contacted by the paper that Schwarzenegger was the father - adding it was her then-husband who fathered the child.

May 9, 2011 - Schwarzenegger and Shriver announce their split after 25 years of marriage
May 17, 2011 - Schwarzenegger apologises for fathering a child with a member of his household staff
However, when the LA Times approached the woman after Schwarzenegger's statement was released, she declined to comment further.
She said she voluntarily left her position with the couple 'on good terms'.
She said: 'I wanted to achieve my 20 years, then I asked to retire.'
According to a source, the paper claims that Schwarzenegger, 63, has always taken financial responsibility for the child.
The world was stunned earlier this month when Schwarzenegger and Shriver announced they had split after 25 years of marriage, with many questioning the reasons behind the break-up.
They released a statement which read: 'This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us.
'After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together.
'At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship.
‘We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the centre of both of our lives.
'We consider this a private matter and neither we nor any of our friends or family will have further comment. We ask for compassion and respect from the media and the public.’
Shriver then took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support after announcing the split, writing: 'Thank you all for the kindness, support and compassion. I am humbled by the love. Thank you.'
And, at an appearance last week at the Los Angeles' Skirball Cultural Center, Schwarzenegger suggested there was a chance of reconciliation.
He said: 'We both love each other very much. We are very fortunate that we have four extraordinary children and we're taking one day at a time.'

The couple married on April 26, 1986, in a lavish ceremony in Hyannis, Massachusetts, near the Kennedy family compound.
Shriver gave birth to their first child, Katherine, in 1989 and their second daughter, Christina in 1991. The births of Patrick and Christopher followed in 1993 and 1997.
Born in Chicago, Shriver is a member of America's Kennedy political dynasty.
The daughter of Sargent Shriver and Eunice Kennedy Shriver, she met her estranged husband In 1977 when they were introduced by former NBC News presenter Tom Brokaw at a charity tennis tournament.
Before Schwarzenegger became governor of California in 2003, Shriver was a superstar presenter for NBC News.
In the 1980s she co-anchored NBC News's Sunday Today and later became a contributing anchor on Dateline NBC in 1989.
Once her husband announced his plans to run for California's governorship, she took unpaid leave of absence from NBC News to support her husband's political aspirations.
Days before voters went to the polls in 2003, Schwarzenegger's campaign was rocked by the 'Gropegate' scandal - allegations from six women who said he had groped them on movie sets, in studio offices and in other settings over the past three decades, without their consent.
In a series of interviews with the Los Angeles Times, three of the women claimed Schwarzenegger grabbed their breasts, while a fourth said he reached under her skirt and touched her buttocks.
A fifth woman said Schwarzenegger groped her and tried to remove her bathing suit in a hotel elevator and a sixth accused him of pulling her onto his lap and asking if a certain sexual act had ever been performed on her.
However, the Times withheld the women's identities.
Schwarzenegger's campaign spokesman, Sean Walsh, immediately responded by saying the allegations were untrue, and insisted they were part of an effort to undermine the Republican candidate by his Democratic rivals.

Britney Spears Changes Her Tune on Letting Kids Into Showbiz

Last summer, pop superstar Britney Spears raised quite a few eyebrows when she told Cosmopolitan that she'd never want her children to forge a career in Hollywood: "If my sons told me they wanted to be in the entertainment business, I'd lock them in their rooms until they turned 30," she joked.

But in a new Q & A with Harper's Bazaar, Spears seems to have softened to the idea of sons Sean, 5, and Jayden, 4, becoming celebs in their own right. She told Laura Brown, "If they have a love and a passion for the arts and that's what they want to do, then so be it. They are both little actors and so charismatic, I wouldn't be surprised at all."
Other revelations in the interview include Britney's assertion that, as a mother, she tends to worry a lot. She also said, "I'm more straightforward, and I speak up more than I did before. When I was younger, I wouldn't speak up as much, but now that I'm a mom, things have changed."

Spears' response is particularly interesting in light of how little she's spoken to promote her latest album, Femme Fatale, and the fact that her parents recently claimed her "mentally incapable" of giving a deposition in a defamation lawsuit. When's Britney going to speak up about that?

Pippa Middleton bikini pictures surface while family tries to stop spread of topless photos

Pippa Middleton and her family, plus Prince William (c.), put their bodies on display on a 2006 trip.
Pippa Middleton and her family, plus Prince William (c.), put their bodies on display on a 2006 trip

The gifts just keep on coming for fans of Pippa Middleton.
More pictures of Kate Middleton's younger sister have surfaced, in which her incredibly toned body is barely hidden by any clothing.
The new set of photos, which also feature Kate and new husband Prince William, were reportedly taken during a boating excursion in Ibiza in 2006.
Pippa, now 27, and Kate, now 29, are seen wearing near-matching white bikinis as they lounge on a boat and frolick in the water.
Pippa's flat stomach and muscular arms and legs are the centerpiece of one photo that shows her doing a backflip into the water.
In another picture, her derriere, which has inspired a Facebook page for admirers, is on prime display as she climbs back aboard the boat.

Perhaps the Middleton women take after their mother, Carole, who can also be seen showing some skin in a green bikini.

But the family is reportedly "furious" that topless pictures from the boat outing have been published online as well. According to The Telegraph, the Middletons are trying to have the photos removed from the Web – and seem to have already somewhat succeeded.
The cover of the News of the World, which featured one of the boat photos, is now blurred out on its website and a URL address promising a "preview" of a "Pippa Middleton topless photo" is now a dead link. As of press time, variations of the shot still remain posted on a couple websites.

"The whole family is furious at what they see as a betrayal," a source close to the Middletons told The Telegraph, explaining that it is believed friends may have sold the pictures to various agencies.
Interest in Pippa has skyrocketed ever since she stood out at the royal wedding last month in a body-hugging Alexander McQueen gown.

The frenzy only grew last week when another old photo – of Pippa dancing in a bra and skirt with a boxers-clad male friend – began circulating online.
Pippa's rising fame and good looks has also caught the attention of Vivid Entertainment president Steve Hirsch, who has offered her $5 million to participate in an explicit sex scene in one of his porn films.
She stands to earn five times as much as younger brother James, who received a $1 million offer after partially nude photos of him also made the rounds last week. But, given their family's reported reaction to the photos revealed thus far, it's highly unlikely Pippa or James, 23, will accept their respective offers.
"James and Pippa are really embarrassed," the source added. "How were they supposed to know when these pictures were taken that they would be put under such scrutiny?"
